For no other reason than it’s a Thursday, here is a compilation of humans plough their heads and/or faces into mother earth. Some are at pace, others are not. Either way, this shit is funny.
The one moment in any wipe out which I derive the greatest amount of satisfaction from is most certainly the one after the fact. The person’s reaction is priceless and their attempt to deal with the fast approaching pain is pure entertainment to me. Some lie in their heap of misery and wail to themselves whilst others prefer to hide their face in shame as they cuss at the group of friends who are laughing at them. My favourites are those who spring to their feet immediately and run around as if nothing has happened. Jeez it fills me with glee! There are a couple of those guys in this compilation.
You know what I say: Another month, another compilation of humans wiping out and what better way to kick off both your week and your spring month with said compilation? You’ll find the usual BMX/Skateboarding wipeouts which will have you feeling both nauseous and joyous at the same time whilst the selection of shots to the face are great. My personal favourites are the dude at 01:00 who comes seriously short on an escalator – to the absolute delight of the cameraman – and the lady at 01:28 you redefines the meaning of the words face plant. Speaking of face plants, the biker at 02:34 eats it as hard!
I did not expect this compilation to be this funny. In fact, I wasn’t sure what to expect? Groomsman feinting, overly excited couples wiping out on the d-floor, bouquet catching wipeouts and whatnot? I suppose that these are all a given when talking wedding fails and this compilation doesn’t disappoint in that department. What convinced me, however, that this wasn’t your run-of-the-mill wedding fails compilation was the second fail of the entire video at 00:14 which sees a man – who I presume is the groom – pick up his new wife, place her on his shoulder like a tackling-bag, and run with her straight into a door. Priceless!
John William Ferrell is the greatest comedic actor we will know in our lifetime. The man’s a saint, I tell ya! The character’s he has created over the years are etched in my mind and I can’t go to one Friday night braai without at least one Will Ferrell quote being dropped at some point in the evening. He has crafted my sense of humour. For a stage, I was even Frank the Tank. Not really. But seriously. Anyway, Will turned 47 yesterday, so let’s celebrate in a belated fashion and check out his top bloopers from some of his best roles.
I am literally sitting at my desk weeping with delight at this video. Some sort of cosmic alignment must have been in process when this poor sod decided to show off his skills on a trampoline. It’s tough to explain it beyond that. It is priceless. Think trampoline, dude, attempted backflip, shed wall in close proximity and an excited dog. Like I said, I am weeping with joy right now and the office ladies are giving me a weird look, so I’d better run. Enjoy.
I have no words. This is wrong in EVERY…SINGLE…WAY and yet upon viewing it for the first time, I found myself chuckling at the brashness of it all. It must have been my twisted sense of humour which I find tends to rear its head when I’m in a fucked up mood. The question is how can I sum this video up for you? Dane Cook – the funniest comedian on Planet Earth – once said that nothing made him want to punch a baby as much as the sound of a baby crying. His words. Not mine. Perhaps true, but his words, nonetheless. So instead of punching the child, why not force a little nap-time on them?
