It has been awhile since a movie has held this much potential in my eyes. Most of what has been on the local circuit in recent months has been absolute trash whilst those which have been worth the time, I’ve managed to miss. Somehow I don’t think that I’ll be missing this one, despite living by the mantra that you should never judge a book movie by its cover trailer. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson – who also directed ‘Boogie Nights’, ‘Magnolia’ and ‘There Will Be Blood’ – ‘Inherent Vice’ tells the story of a 1970’s private eye in Los Angeles who investigates the disappearance of a former girlfriend. The cast is about as shit-hot as you’ll find in Hollywood with the likes of Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon, Benicio Del Toro and Eric Roberts set to keep you entertained throughout. Yes, I just said Eric Roberts.
This clip has four minutes and twenty seconds of on-screen Tarantino deaths, which – if you know your Tarantino’s – is guaranteed to contain a lot of blood. That’s what Tarantino does. He keeps his deaths as realistic and graphic as possible. It’s the shock effect. In fact, after watching this supercut, I’d suggest that Tarantino has single-handedly kept the theatrical blood industry afloat in Hollywood. There are deaths from ‘Reservoir Dogs’, ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Jackie Brown’, ‘Kill Bill Vol. 1’, ‘Kill Bill Vol. 2’, ‘Death Proof’, ‘Inglorious Basterds’ and ‘Django Unchained’.
It’s been a long week and I’m in need of a little laugh on this fine Friday morning and what better way to have a chuckle at my desk than with the king of the Pooter, Jack Vale, farting in Hollywood. Jeez I love this kind of childish shit and could watch them all day. In fact, let me throw in an extra Jack Vale farting video for shits and giggles. There you go, two for the price of one. Enjoy.
It’s always cool to see how far our favourite actors have come. Or in some cases, fallen. Once upon a time your Bob De Niro’s, Tom Cruise’s and Natalie Portman’s had to read for parts and whilst none of the above ever have to again, there are those – the Lindsay Lohan’s, Matthew Fox’s, Lea Michele Relives’ and Megan Fox’s – who seem forever doomed to have to audition for parts due to their serious lack of acting talent. Either way here’s a compilation of some of Hollywood’s finest auditioning for the roles which put them on the map, so to speak. Watch out for Gerard Butler’s audition for ‘Dracula 2000’ at 2:36. How far has that man come?
