If you’re not trying to become a better man each and every day, then I’m not sure what you’re doing at The Noblest Rogue. I am a big believer of constantly looking for personal improvement and growth and am always willing to pass on some advice to you, dear reader. It’s why I’m here. Why I’m doing this. The concept of a gentleman has been lost in recent times and I it distresses me that we have let it slip from our grasp. Chivalry is of the utmost importance to a man and has the ability to define who he is. If it holds this much importance, why then would we not be interested in it? Some are rules, others can be considered as advice.
You’d think that growing a beard is as simple as not shaving. Whilst that is technically correct, there are of course a few rules and/or tips which you can abide by to help you get your face-fuzz looking at its best. The last thing you want is to come across as a sloppy weirdo or dare I say it, bergie, due to poorly groomed facial hair. Follow these four simple beard-rules and you’ll certainly come across as the strapping specimen of a man who you are.
The days of acting like a hooligan at a bar are behind us. That sort of behaviour should have died when you left varsity. If you, however, are still at varsity, then by all means misbehave but heed these words once you’ve left. You will at some stage leave behind the Terrace’s, Tiger Tiger’s and Shack’s of this world for something with a level of class which will require you to portray a level of civility. Such is life. Whilst making friends with your local barman may help you get snappy service, here are a few bar etiquette tips to digest which may get you your whiskey sooner.
