I’ve had a good look at Apple’s latest device offerings, namely the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Firstly there was the promo video when Apple first launched the phone which told you everything you need to know about the phones and then there was the drop test, which gave you an idea of how each device handled a drop to its edge, side and face. Of course with new devices come new features which give an indication of what the developers have been getting up to and whether they’ve worked hard on improvement. With that in mind, here are 10 of the top features for the iPhone 6.
There is no doubt that GoPro have forever changed the face of home videos. In fact they’ve revolutionised the face of filming to such an extent that you can film anything, anywhere, whenever you like. In HD. Gone are the days of scratchy, out of focus films limited to your back garden because the power cord only has a 2m reach. For the dudes at GoPro the world constituted more than just their backyards and they wanted to film it. Whether in the air, on the ground or under the water, the new GoPro HERO 4 will film anything from leisure to extreme activities in supreme quality. Check out the promo video for it.
Dropping your phone is inevitable and there is no point in fighting it. It WILL eventually happen and you better pray that luck is on your side when it does because a cracked screen replacement is no joke. That shit is expensive. You can of course buy safety covers, screen protection sleeves and whatnot, which will essentially give you a couple more opportunities to drop the phone before the screen is totally screwed, but inevitably your screen will need replacement at some stage. Deal with it. Apple have punted the fact that the new devices they launched a few weeks ago are flatter, thinner and sleeker (check out their specs here), which is great, but the question on everyone’s lips is what happens when I drop it? Does flat, thin and sleek equate to weak, flimsy and soft?
Apple have had an interesting two weeks. Firstly they launched the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (read about it here) and then they launched their Apple Watch (read about it here), which looks awesome! Late last week they made their new operating system – iOS 8 – available for download and I am busy downloading it as I type this. On the surface, the new operating system is very similar to its predecessor except – as expected – Apple have ironed out a few kinks which existed with iOS 7 and have added some cool new features. New operating system’s usually spell the end of your phone’s battery life, so I am quite interested to see what happens once this iOS 8 has downloaded and I have installed it. Here is a great video from Tech Smartt, reviewing what is new with the new iOS 8.
My third week of completing various tasks using the Samsung Smart Microwave Oven in the #MissionSamsung Blogger Challenge is drawing to a close and the fine people at Samsung have asked me to review the product. My understanding of this task is that I need to give their product one last punt on The Noblest Rogue in the hope that I say the right things and convince them to make me the winner of their third challenge and award me the Samsung Smart Microwave Oven as a prize. I am usually averse to such blatant exploitation however I have grown to enjoy my Samsung Smart Microwave Oven and would like to hold onto it and so will acquiesce their request for a product punt.
As mentioned earlier (here), Apple launched a couple new products at their keynote presentation on Tuesday and techies the world over have been bouncing off the roof ever since. Other than the new iPhone’s, Apple launched the much-anticipated Apple Watch which looks sick! What’s best about the announcement of The Watch is that Apple haven’t just made one watch, but rather three to suit every occasion which “vary between feminine, masculine and youthful”. The three watches to choose from are the Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport, and Apple Watch Edition. Check out the specs below as well as a cool introduction video from Apple.
Apple launched an array of sleek new products at their keynote presentation on Tuesday, including the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the much-anticipated Apple Watch. Being a part of the Apple family, I was excited to get a look at what exactly Apple have packed into their latest phone as I will in all certainly be upgrading to either it or the inevitable follow-up ‘s’ in the future. The first notable difference from the 5 and 5s is the general look of the phone as it has soft, rounded corners and a curved glass screen, whilst the general tech of the phone has been upgraded too. Check out the specs below as well as a very cool 6 minute introduction video from Apple.
